Here, we’re sharing the official list of iOS 27-compatible iPhone devices. If you want to know whether your iPhone will receive the iOS 27 update, make sure to read this post.

In this post, we’ll cover only the iPhone models that are officially compatible with the stable iOS 27 update. The list has been officially shared by Apple on its website.

Before exploring the new iOS 27 features, there are a few important things to keep in mind. Apple notes that features and availability can change, and some options may not be offered in every country or language.

Apple Intelligence and Siri

The new AI-powered Siri experience is expected to arrive in beta later this year. It requires an iPhone or other compatible Apple device that supports Apple Intelligence, with the device language set to a supported language. English will be supported initially.

Apple also notes that the new Siri experience will not be available in the European Union at launch on iOS, iPadOS and watchOS.

Some Apple Intelligence features are available only on specific compatible devices. These include the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone Air, selected iPad models with the M4 chip or later and at least 12GB of unified memory, and Mac models with the M3 chip or later and at least 12GB of unified memory.

Apple Intelligence Compatibility

Apple Intelligence in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 and watchOS 27 is supported on a range of newer Apple devices.

On iPhone, support starts with all iPhone 16 models and newer devices, along with the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Supported iPad devices include the iPad mini with the A17 Pro chip and iPad models powered by the M1 chip or newer. On Mac, Apple Intelligence is supported on Mac models with the M1 chip or later, as well as the MacBook Neo with the A18 Pro chip.

For Apple Watch, Apple Intelligence features are supported on Apple Watch Series 9 and later, Apple Watch Ultra 2 and later, and Apple Watch SE 3 when paired with a nearby compatible iPhone.

Apple Intelligence currently supports several languages, including Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Vietnamese. However, individual features may still vary depending on the region, language and device.

Family and Parental Controls

Ask to Buy works across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple TV. Parents can review and approve purchase requests directly from an iPhone, iPad or Mac.

The new Ask to Browse feature is available through Safari and other WebKit-based browsers on iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27 after Screen Time has been upgraded. When this feature is enabled on Apple Watch, only websites that have been approved will be accessible.

Parents can also approve new contacts added through Messages on compatible iPhone, iPad and Mac devices.

Apple Performance Testing

Apple conducted its performance testing during April and May 2026 using pre-release versions of iOS 27.

For app-launch testing, Apple compared an iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 26.4.2 with a pre-release version of iOS 27. The testing was performed after the device had gone through multiple usage cycles.

Apple also tested the Photos app on an iPhone 15 using a photo library containing 50,000 assets, along with additional photos taken using the Camera app.

AirDrop performance was tested on an iPhone 16 Plus by transferring multiple photos with a combined size of 30MB between nearby contacts while the device was not connected to Wi-Fi.

Actual performance can differ from Apple’s testing results. Factors such as device configuration, settings, content, usage patterns, software versions and environmental conditions can all affect performance.

Cycle Tracking Disclaimer

The Cycle Tracking app is designed to help users monitor their cycle history, but it should not be used as a method of birth control or as a tool for diagnosing a medical condition.

Cycle deviation notifications are based on the cycle information entered by the user. Notifications related to perimenopause are intended for users aged 40 and above and should not be considered a replacement for professional diagnosis, monitoring or treatment for perimenopause or menopause.

Home App and HomeKit Requirements

Some of the new Home features require an Apple Intelligence-compatible iPhone or iPad along with a home hub, such as a HomePod (2nd generation), HomePod mini or Apple TV 4K running the latest software.

Location Services also needs to be enabled for the Home app and connected accessories.

Certain advanced Home features require the home owner to have an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone with Apple Intelligence turned on in the Home app. An eligible iCloud+ subscription and a compatible home hub may also be required.

Natural-language search in the Home app requires an Apple Intelligence-compatible device. HomeKit Secure Video also requires a compatible home hub running the latest software.

 iCloud+ and Camera Requirements

Some Home and security-related features require an active iCloud+ subscription and a compatible camera. Compatibility can depend on the camera accessory and the software version being used.
